Listening to SMEs
This week, research from Aldermore revealed that the majority of small and medium businesses were anticipating growth during 2013. The survey, which interviewed 300 SME firms across the country, discovered that 55 per cent of companies were expecting growth in their turnover. Only seven per cent of those responding to our research anticipated a decline in their fortunes.

The investigation continues Aldermore's commitment to SMEs across the United
Kingdom. We are a bank that believes in listening to its
customers; talking to businesses to discover what they need from us
in order to operate and expand. Last week, we continued this
promise to small and medium enterprises by announcing an ambitious
piece of research, in conjunction with YouGov, which is set to lift
the lid on how companies approach savings and how they feel about
their relationship with their business bank.
But, we want to go further than that. Over the coming weeks, we'll be featuring personal stories from SMEs across the country, talking to business owners about the struggles they've faced in the current climate and asking them about their outlook for the year ahead. Their thoughts will be highlighted on our blog and, if you'd like to be considered, please get in touch with us on Twitter @Aldermorebank.
At Aldermore, we know that each business is different. The prospects of an SME shouldn't be left to the inflexible parameters of a computer programme and we're committed to providing a personal service to each of our customers, regardless of their business or industry. It's why we're lifting the lid.
