Phillip Monks Chief Executive Officer
- Established Europe Arab Bank in 2005
- 2003 - CEO of Gerrard Investment Management
- 1990-1998 - held senior roles in Barclays Bank, including Head
of Barclays Private Bank in Geneva; Head of Corporate Banking in
NW; and latterly Head of Barclays Corporate Banking business in
London, Midlands & SE
- At Aldermore Phillip is responsible for the overall strategy
and performance of the Bank, financial and non- financial. He leads
our relationship with our shareholders and is the face of Aldermore
when it comes to the media, the FSA, the Government and potential
investors.

Mark Stephens Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director Mortgages
- Former CEO of Base Commercial Finance
- Previously he was responsible for the development of the
Business Structure and implementation of the three year plan at
Abbey plc
- Prior to this Mark was at Anglo Irish Bank, where he identified
and recruited key personnel ahead of the Business Plan
- At Aldermore Mark has specific responsibility for all aspects
of the Mortgages Division - residential and commercial.
Paul Myers Chief Operating Officer
- Former COO of Barclays Business Banking division with strong
track record of customer service and efficiency improvements
- Executive positions held in Marketing and e-commerce at
Barclays along with responsibility for the performance of Barclays
Retail Savings products
- Prior to working with Aldermore, undertook independent
consulting assignments with several blue-chip FS firms
- At Aldermore, Paul is responsible for our Infrastructure and
Change agenda, including IT, operating models and efficiency,
management information systems, sourcing and property. Paul also
has responsibility for group marketing and overall business
performance of the savings division.
Steve Barry Chief Risk Officer
- Former Finance and Risk Director at Beacon Group
- Former Partner in charge of Risk & Liability Management at
AnaCap Financial Partners
- Former CFO and Head of Risk for London Mortgage Company
- At Aldermore, Steve's responsibilities include the overall
management of credit, operational and treasury risk, compliance and
internal audit.
Ali Humphries Group HR Director
- Over 20 years experience within HR, held HR Director roles with
both HBOS and Nationwide and in Organisational Development with
Zurich Financial Services
- Prior to that, Ali was director of own business,
white-labelling services providing change and project management,
interim management and consulting which she successfully ran for
eight years.
- Ali is responsible for all aspects of our people agenda,
including reward, performance management, recruitment and HR shared
services.
