Raj Makanjee - Group Chief Executive of Aldermore Group

Raj is a seasoned financial services executive with more than three decades of experience across financial services including banking, insurance and capital markets , technology, and consulting.

Before joining Aldermore, Raj served as Chief Digital Officer at FirstRand and CEO, FNB Retail and Private Banking , where he not only drove the business performance, but also led enterprise-wide digital transformation, platform modernisation, and customer-centric innovation initiatives. His career at FirstRand spanned 17 years and during his time there he held several other senior leadership roles at FNB, including: CEO of Core Banking Solutions, CEO of FNB Wealth and Premium Segment, and Chief Information Officer.

Throughout his career, Raj has been recognised for driving strategic growth, leveraging emerging technologies, and building high-performing teams that deliver measurable business impact and good outcomes for customers.

Raj joined FNB from Accenture where he was a global partner leading financial services engagements across South Africa. He began his professional career at Deloitte, completing his audit articles there.

Raj is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) and holds honours degrees in Accounting and Information Technology from the University of Cape Town.

Louise Britnell

Chief Financial Officer

Louise joined Aldermore as CFO in September 2025. Previously she was the CFO at the Co-operative Bank, where she led the Finance, Treasury, Legal, and Secretariat functions. Prior to her time at the Co-operative Bank, she held a senior position at a large UK pension fund.

Her early career was spent at Deloitte, working across a number of banking, insurance, and non-standard lending clients. Louise is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.

Chief Financial Officer

Louise joined Aldermore as CFO in September 2025. Previously she was the CFO at the Co-operative Bank, where she led the Finance, Treasury, Legal, and Secretariat functions. Prior to her time at the Co-operative Bank, she held a senior position at a large UK pension fund.

Her early career was spent at Deloitte, working across a number of banking, insurance, and non-standard lending clients. Louise is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.

Danielle Soto

Managing Director - Business Finance and Savings

Danielle joined Aldermore in January 2022 to lead the Savings and Commercial Shared Services team. After a successful 2.5 years leading the team, she has transitioned to head up our Business Finance and Savings team.

Danielle joined from Barclays Bank where she spent 20 years building extensive knowledge and experience in Financial Services. In her most recent role as Managing Director for Mortgage and Premier Distribution, Danielle led the integration and transformation of the business, delivering a far superior customer and colleague proposition.

Previous to this, she held a broad range of roles across the organisation, including responsibility for commercial delivery and strategic change. In addition, she played an active role driving the diversity and inclusion agenda and in particular, female talent and development.

Managing Director - Business Finance and Savings

Danielle joined Aldermore in January 2022 to lead the Savings and Commercial Shared Services team. After a successful 2.5 years leading the team, she has transitioned to head up our Business Finance and Savings team.

Danielle joined from Barclays Bank where she spent 20 years building extensive knowledge and experience in Financial Services. In her most recent role as Managing Director for Mortgage and Premier Distribution, Danielle led the integration and transformation of the business, delivering a far superior customer and colleague proposition.

Ross Dalzell

Managing Director - Property and Strategic Growth

Ross joined Aldermore in October 2022 from Barclays where he was Managing Director for Business Banking Relationships. Ross has over 20 years of financial services experience covering a wide of range products, channels and customer segments.

He has a strong background in all elements of product management and distribution and experience in delivering large-scale digital transformation and growth.

Nick Ulycz

Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer, Nick Ulycz is responsible for leading Customer Experience, Technology, and Organisational Effectiveness, with a clear focus on driving operational excellence, transformation, and sustainable strategic growth in close collaboration with the Executive Committee.

Bringing more than twenty years of experience in the Financial Services sector, Nick has an established record of delivering high-impact results. Prior to joining Aldermore in 2022, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Domestic & General, where he oversaw a broad portfolio encompassing Operations, Human Resources, and Communications.

Earlier in his career, he spent eight years with HSBC, including his tenure as Head of Human Resources for HSBC UK.

Nick is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Personnel Management from the University of Greenwich.

General Counsel

Reg joined Aldermore in 2022 from WorldFirst, where he was Group General Counsel & Compliance Officer and the EMEA Legal, Compliance, AML and Privacy Head for Ant Group, WorldFirst's parent company.

Prior to WorldFirst he was a partner at the law firm Pinsent Masons. He has over 25 years' experience advising on corporate, commercial, compliance and regulatory matters.

Michelle Mott

Chief Risk Officer

Michelle joined Aldermore in February 2024 having worked in Risk for over 20 years. Her most recent role prior to joining Aldermore was Executive General Manager of Enterprise Risk and CRO to the Deputy CEO of Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA). Prior to that Michelle worked at Marsh McClennan Companies – Mercer Pacific, BT Financial Group and Westpac Banking Group.

Michelle has extensive experience in all elements of Risk, with specific skills in Risk Management Frameworks both Financial and Non-Financial, Mergers and Acquisitions, Remediation and working in complex and changing regulatory markets.

Michelle is passionate about the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) agenda and she actively supports community initiatives having devoted more than 15 years to being a volunteer to world swimming community. Michelle is a qualified Swimming Referee.

Michelle holds various qualifications across Legal, Human Resources and Business and she is a qualified Company Director with the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Lisa Hannah

Chief People and Communications Officer

Lisa joined Aldermore following a 29-year career at Barclays Bank, where she gained deep expertise across the Financial Services sector. During her time at Barclays, she led large-scale organisational change, enhanced employee engagement, and worked closely with Executive Leadership to define and deliver long-term strategic plans.

She is now a member of Aldermore’s Executive Committee, serving as People and Communications Officer and Chief of Staff to the CEO. In this dual role, she leads the People, Commercial Shared Services (CSS), and Company Secretariat (CoSec) functions, with responsibility for strategic delivery, leadership performance, and operational effectiveness across the organisation.

Lisa works closely with the CEO and Board to drive business priorities, foster strong stakeholder relationships, and embed a culture of transparency, accountability, and high performance.

Widely recognised for her ability to build strong, collaborative partnerships across all levels of an organisation, Lisa enables effective and sustained delivery of business outcomes.

In addition to her executive responsibilities, Lisa is an active ambassador for the bank’s social mobility initiatives, advocating for greater inclusion and opportunity across the financial services industry.
