Aldermore today reveals that Matt McCullough has been promoted to Head of Sales and Development, a brand new role within Aldermore’s Property leadership team. McCullough is soon to celebrate a decade at Aldermore and is one of its longest-serving employees.
His new role provides overall leadership of the field-based sales team throughout the country, in addition to overseeing key broker-facing propositions such as Aldermore’s Platinum Broker experience.
McCullough will also play a vital role within Aldermore’s development programme, improving broker experience throughout the origination journey. The development programme will utilise field-based engagement to establish brokers’ needs and better understand how Aldermore can support them in the future.
Aldermore has refreshed the senior leadership team in its Property division in recent weeks, with a focus on enhancing the experience for its intermediary partners. These changes come as Aldermore publicly affirms its commitment to growing its Property business for both homeowners and landlords alike, helping more people to go for it in life and business.
The lender hired Nicola Goldie as Head of Strategic Partnerships and Growth whilst also promoting Craig Beattie and James Young to National Sales Managers. Both Beattie and Young will report into McCullough in his expanded role, whilst Clare Thomas also forms a key part of the team as Head of Telephony New Business. Jon Cooper, Head of Property will continue to lead the restructured team.
Jon Cooper, Head of Property, Aldermore comments: “At Aldermore, we value cultivating talent from within. At the same time, we’re keen to supplement our existing talent by hiring best-in-class individuals from outside our organisation who complement our culture and ambitions. We have a superb senior team in place, and I have full confidence that our brokers and their clients will reap the benefits.”
Matt McCullough, Head of Sales and Development, Aldermore adds: “During my 10 years at Aldermore, the bank has grown from strength-to-strength. I’ve loved being part of that growth journey from starting as a Broker Support Adviser in 2013 to now leading a fantastic team as Head of Sales and Development in 2023. We’re making some major changes at Aldermore and I’m excited to implement these as we look to innovate in the years ahead.”
