Residential and Standard buy to let

  1. DIP Referrals

    • 24 hours
    • Note: All limited company DIPs will refer as standard. All accepted DIP's valid for 30 days, securing the rate and product for your client.
  2. Pre-underwrite

    • 3 working days
    • for the case manager to review all requested documents to ensure the application is ready for underwriter review.
  3. Underwriter review

    • 14 working days
    • for the underwriter confirm the application meets our policy and request any additional information if needed.
  4. Underwriting pipeline

    • 5 working days
    • for the underwriter to check all documents and valuation report to confirm if case is ready for offer or request further details.
  5. Application to offer

    • 21 working days
    • Average time from pre- underwrite through to mortgage offer.
  6. Post offer

    • 6 working days
    • to process all tasks and documents from mortgage offer to completion.​

Specialist buy to let

Our application to offer

Pre-Underwrite​

Case managers review the application once all minimum submission documents are uploaded. They check for missing or incorrect information and recheck the case every three working days. Once complete, the case moves into the underwriter’s queue. Note: The case is not reviewed by an underwriter at this stage.​

Underwriter Review​

The underwriter assesses the application against Aldermore’s lending criteria and policy. They may request additional information to support the application.​

Underwriting Pipeline​

Final checks are carried out to ensure all relevant documents and the valuation are in place. The underwriter may request missing information and reviews the case every four days. If complete, the case progresses straight to offer without further checks.​

Mortgage Offer

The mortgage offer is approved and issued to you, the acting solicitor and your client.
